So what is Wellbeing at work?
It’s about the personal dynamics between the people in your business. Do they get on with their co-workers?
How do they feel about working in your business? How does your business treat them and how does their work fits into the rest of their lives?
There’s also the physical environment. Is it a nice place to work? Are people comfortable in their work area? Is it a safe place where health and safety risks are identified and procedures put in place?
What about their mental health? Are people able to be open and honest about any mental ill health problems they have or is it a taboo subject?
Do you encourage a healthy lifestyle and set an example?
Wellbeing isn’t about having a bowl of fruit in your coffee area and encouraging people to take a walk at lunchtime – but developing it in your business needs careful thought, planning and most importantly – involving everyone who works there.
